Great app but too many commercials too scroll through.
Great app but too many commercials too scroll through.
A nice app but uses a lot of memory. I would like the choice to open only the current edition and delete the magazine and current news downloads unless I want them.
Three years ago your WSJ app was a six star product. I would open you app, it would ask me do I want the latest edition, I check YES and I am enjoying my WSJ. I am seeing bug fix after bug fix and my key needs/wants being lost. Get back to the basics, get the bugs out and make your product the gold standard it use to be. Bob
Love the iPhone version. This becomes my favorite app in the train to work everyday.
Good app for reading news throughout the day
Good paper but the software is still lacking. Takes a long time to load. If you fly a lot make sure all the articles are downloaded.
I HATE the app. WSJ is a great paper; Ive been reading it 30 years. Free news services have better apps. Please fix it!!
WSJ has been a key factor to my success in life as a whole. Its a small price to pay to support a news organization that has the best source of information on the planet available to the everyday American. The app is good, not great, but the content is life changing.
I used to read news from apps like fox and msnbc. WSJ articles are much higher quality, even more than the Washington Post.
The app periodically locks me out and requires me to contact a support number, which is not manned after business hours. The day of the election there was an article I wanted to read, which took me to a screen that asked me to log in.... I did so and it took me straight back to the log in screen. For what I pay for this I expect it to work all the time, every day. This happens, sometimes, several times a month. Makes me furious and wastes my time. If it wasnt for the hassle of the paper edition I would fire it altogether. Shoddy product.
Have to go to several steps Doesnt put index in upper right corner when you go to a new section Worse than a few months ago. Bad job WSJ Thanks, Kent
It used to be so good. Every morning, there was the WSJ waiting for me as soon as I opened my iPad. Now it takes seven or eights actions to get the days copy open. Its just annoying that it has gotten so cumbersome and complicated.
It should be simple to expect this app to load the latest stories on its own instead of the last issue from the previous time it was used. Performance is terrible. Takes a long time to load articles or switch sections. Doesnt by default show the most current issue of the paper. And print media wonders why their business is struggling Keeps showing content from 2 days ago. Doesnt update content despite deleting and reinstalling. Have reset content several times no change. For what wsj charges for a subscription they should be issuing refunds
WSJ is treading the same path that Microsoft has with Word and the like. Too many "improvements" that arent really useful and that make the app load more slowly, or just quit. I used to prefer the app to the paper but now it is the reverse. Bring back the rightward swipe.
The developer of this upgrade should be banished from life.
First, to those complaining about ads in a paid subscription...when you PAY for the print edition, do you not see advertisements in this or other papers?? Not a big deal. Thats said, theres still the random crashes and the annoying break in the Facebook sharing feature. It also needs a setting to allow for automatic download of the days paper. Having to constantly start the app to get the paper is an inconvenience. Update 11/9: on the iPhone version, it needs a todays edition grouping to navigate as if Im looking at the print version.
The update disabled the ability to copy a paragraph of text (which you could the post to Facebook etc.). Cmon WSJ, youve just REDUCED the ability of your news to go viral. Not smart in the new media environment.
Gives me exactly what I need: easy access to good reporting....
Amazing news. The only journalism that is actually not stupid.
Why is it that those with whom I share articles using the app must be subscribers to be able to read them? Just stupid. Fix this and Ill give this app 5 stars.
