I am extremely upset that the WSJ now has video advertisements at the beginning of video clips embedded within each days edition. At first they were before virtually every clip, now it varies. I understand ads at the beginning of content at free sites such as YouTube. Nothing is free, and if one wants to view video clips without paying any money it is reasonable to have to view a short ad first. However, I am paying hundreds of dollars a year for the WSJ iPad edition. I do not understand why I now must suffer through a Charles Schwab ad every time I want to view a 2-3 minute video clip. I dont like my time wasted, especially when I am paying significant amounts of money to not have my time wasted. By all means add commercials to content cost-free to the general public. But please spare paying customers, who are paying a premium price for a premium experience, which the WSJ is now destroying.
The WSJ app is the main reason I have an IPAD! Read it every day!!
The app is ok, the refresh is terribly slow. Needs improvement. Reuters and Bloomberg is much better.
It should be easy to track different issues on phone app. Why are you forcing me to repeatedly download past issues. I should be able to keep as many back issues as my iPad will hold.
Best newspaper app available. Easy to use and when other reviews say it doesnt update, they need to relax and let all that awesome content catch up.
With the April 2016 release, the new fonts for the Wall Street journal are much harder to read on an iPad.
Updating to receive new content is a nightmare. Hard to believe I am paying so much money for such a horrible app.
Finally! This app has become elegant and easy to use. Stories also download for offline use, something I appreciate while traveling. Took several years, but I can finally give this 5 stars.
Legibility should be job one for a newspaper. Where are you shrinking the font?!
Like the WSJ. But the NYT mobil app is remarkably better. All too often I cant access the most recent news. And the e-version is ridiculously quirky on the comment boards. (Today I cant access any comments, let alone post any. The function isnt available on my phone at all.)
Why are there 20 or so stories under biz but only 10 or so show on left to right "reading" of paper.
Terrible navigation. If you dont know that there are more articles for every section you miss quite a bit. You have to know to hit the little button at the top right to see all the articles. What gives it two stars vs one is it has a very good offline capability.
The latest font and format changes are inferior to the previous version of the WSJ. Content and reporting as great as ever, but now being delivered in an less enjoyable way.
The new updates are great! The app looks like youre reading the actual paper, on the iPad. Very smooth, and easy to use.
Can quickly read articles very nice and fast on iPhone. Swipe down to refresh is nice. Love the iPad version, love the new whats new extra app. Love reading the newspaper all sections. Great way to read the paper. Thank you for continuously making app better!
Essential for any reader who needs to keep current away from the paper or desktop.
Easy to read on my iPhone.
Now I cant read the type. Everything was excellent until this change to a serif face and fine lines (are your readers all under 25?). I know it can be adjusted in the individual articles but thats a pain. I cant read the front page. Go back and fix it!
Similar to other users experiences, Ive noticed an issue with updating stories. The past ~3 updates or so have had less than stellar story updating mechanics, with the app saying stories are up to date when they are not yet. The thing is, previous versions from earlier in 2016 had been working perfectly from this standpoint, but Im not sure what changed. Only getting 4 for now, will be 5 when it returns to perfection.
