The app and the paper are an awesome source of information. I read it on my iPhone every day religiously!

My only complaint is that I would like to scroll through pages instead flipping through them like a book.
While the old fashioned paper WSJ did have an element of sensuality (the feel of the paper, the smell of the ink, the black ink that rubs of on your hands), the advantages of this app far out way it. No back issues to pile up, no bags of old papers to hall out to the garbage, no black ink on your hands. Also, no going out in the cold early morning to fetch it before someone else does. This app features a search engine to easily find past or current articles, which frequently comes in handy. It also allows you save individual articles on your iPad, or send to an archiving service such as Evernote . Navigation is easy, requiring only two clicks to go, say, from the front page to the editorial page. Frankly, I cant believe how I even got along in the old days of paper without it. The only way, I my opinion, of reading the WSJ.
The app falls short. Im sure it works great on the smaller older screens, but doesnt utilize the newer larger screens to transmit information and user friendly fashion. Updated 4/2016: Newer version seems easier to use and text is easier to read. Phone app is better than tablet version now. More logical and responsive, though tablet text will always be easier to see in any app.
You have managed to make this app totally unavailable to anyone who doesnt have the latest version of iOS. No one at Dow Jones has heard of backward compatibility?
Iphone: no landscape mode. Doesnt update stories until you reset content. Not all of the print edition is in the app. Very pretty, very frustrating for a REALLY expensive publication
I am very disappointed in the newest version of this app (for iPad). Why so much white space? The font gets smaller and smaller with every update you produce. Is there a way to change the font size/type???? The worst part is the super small font size for the different drop down sections. Please consider your readers when you make a change like this.
Works seamlessly for me.
Great app. I use it on a daily basis
Very well designed. Cannot imagine starting my day without this reading this. I miss actually digging into paper, but this is so much more convenient.
For those of us with eyesight weakened by age, please make the new typeface darker, or create the option for it to be made so by the individual user.
The app is terrible. It is buggy, and fails to update daily. However, when one is commuting on the train, it seeks to update the stock prices embedded in stories causing it to jam. Never write reviews, but app constantly asks for one - so here it is. They need an app that delivers the paper to me daily that I can then read on the train. This isnt it. The saving grace is the content, but as a piece of technology, it stinks. Im praying for Bloomberg to come out with a daily paper - would be a great marriage of content and technical skill.
This is the best tablet news app that I have used. Easy navigation and multiple approaches to perusing articles available.
This one-star is specifically due to the font change. I read the WSJ through this app on a daily basis and the previous font was MUCH easier to read. The new font is horrendous--why was it changed? Change for the sake of change??? Were a lot of loyal readers complaining about the font youve been using for years??? New person leading the app group trying to make a name for themselves??? Dont fix things that arent broken. The WSJ app was the paradigm for an excellent transition of the reading experience from paper to iPad...now it looks terrible and is harder to read. Did you even test this with subscribers???
Latest version is a downgrade. The content is limited and you have to browse previous daily versions to read what is available in one place on the website. If this was done to allow faster loading and avoid crashes, then it didnt work...still an unstable app.
The little be the new look of the WSJ app. The new fonts are very readable and a refreshing modern update. I start every day reading the e version of the paper.
Good way to read wsj. Posting to mail or Facebook is easy. Takes way too long to load.
Did you test this with actual readers? You know, those of us in our mid-40s start having trouble seeing thin, small, washed out font. The text is all but unreadable. Were there requests for this? Were readers saying, by, please do something about the old font? Make it less readable because I dont like spending my morning reading a good newspaper. Switch back!!! Or at least have a setting to change the font size. How basic is this?
Your new version has been successful at one thing - driving me back to the Kindle version of the WSJ because of the new hard-to-read font in your iPad version. Terrible.
The new fonts and light green headlines dont work me. Its hard to read in regular daylight. I thought the design would help the site load faster, but it didnt. WSJ is still one of the slowest sites I visit every day, including NYT and WP. Please fix it!
